Newstead Abbey

Gardens at Newstead Abbey. Its origins are in the 12th century as a monastic house, later became the seat of the Byron family. The poet Lord Byron sold it in 1818 and in 1930 was presented to Nottingham Corporation. The City Council now run and maintain the house and gardens.
